INT. ALTMAN ON FILM – NIGHT

Although this is mainly me manifesting, I’ve created this website in the case scenario that one day people will see it. For now this is more of a portfolio for anyone who is interested in looking. At the time being there isn’t much, but hopefully as I grow older I can fill it up completely.

I do currently offer some services at the moment; photography, which I will insert the link to that portfolio, and rates here. Also, I do work in videography, here is the link to that reel as well. Last but not least, anytime I create something, something that is truly mine that I am in charge of, some would call this a “film”, I will share that here.

“Into The Arts” 2018-2019

Once the whole school got around to watching “Stripped“, I decided that in my senior year I would recreate it. Not only did I have more friends, but they were all a thousand times funnier. I also had the advantage of people telling me what they wanted to see from future episodes. So, I created “Into The Arts”, my “Stripped” spin off.

After uploading this video, I remember showing my father. He is the funniest person I know so I was really anticipating his opinion. His viewing was full of laughter, but I’ll never forget what he said to me after; “you sure you want to post this?”

I was like, “What do you mean ‘do I want to post this’?”

He expressed to me the canceling that could ensue because of my actions. I thought to myself, “well he’s probably right, I should’ve at least censored the N-Word,” But something about that felt disingenuous. It would be a different story if I showed a bunch of crackers saying the word, but my two friends I filmed were actually having a legitimate conversation. This is how people in high school spoke.

There was only one successful finished episode of “Into The Arts” due to tensions between me and another cast member. That sounds ridiculous since I was only seventeen at the time, but it was a legitimate fight that had most people at each others throats.

It wasn’t until the summer of 2021 that I uploaded the unfinished episode 2, which had the potential of being the best one by far. I uploaded it by popular demand, and it ended up making a lot of the people from the show very nostalgic.

Stripped 2018

In April 2018 I was a Junior in High School. That semester specifically we had to do a film project. Obviously, I was beyond excited since that’s all I had ever wanted to do, but I was also a horrible procrastinator. My project partner and I waited for the day before it was due to even begin getting an idea down. Due to his and I’s funny nature, we decided a ‘mockumentary‘ would be easiest and the best thing either of us could do relatively quickly. He gave me full creative control, and for the entire day I recorded my friends. The moment I got home I began editing with a shitty app on my iPhone, and within an hour I had the final product. Not only did we get a perfect grade, but our English teacher from that year still shows our video to this day.

Early Work

Every artist starts somewhere, for me that place would be at my childhood home, with my mothers first generation iPhone. Although some people might look at these videos and question how I could even call them a movie, but back them I did. At the time I didn’t even know what I was creating, I just knew I wanted to entertain and tell a story.

The YouTube channel that that video is posted to was the first one I ever created, I was around 9 at the time. A lot of the videos I made would end up being lost in the never ending streams of media. I’m sure I forgot a password somewhere along the way, but unfortunately those little mishaps would keep me from getting to relive some of most precious memories.
